COACHING STAFF
EWLC is led by a team of experienced youth coaches who are passionate about teaching wrestling and helping kids achieve their potential. Our coaches also believe it's critical that kids have a positive experience and fall in love with our great sport. If you are interested in becoming a head or assistant coach, please contact us.
We require our coaches to attend training, obtain a USA Wrestling coach membership (which includes a criminal background check), and subscribe to our core philosophies about youth coaching. If you're interested in assisting but can't commit to be a regular coach, we always welcome volunteers to assist in the practice room as long as the parents subscribe to our core values.
Lead Coaches for the 2023-2024 season include:
Mike Froelich (Middle school teams at Stone Bridge HS)
Aubrey Burkete-Erice and Ken Parsons (Middle school teams at Riverside HS)
John Kazantzidis (Middle school teams at Independence HS)
Erik Reed (Leopards)
We have many outstanding assistant coaches too!
